PENGUIN ENCOUNTERS

By popular demand, Newquay Zoo is now launching a brand new animal experience which gives you the chance to get closer to our friendly family of penguins.

Don’t forget your camera as you will have the chance to enter the penguin enclosure, hand feed them fish, watch their graceful swimming and ask their dedicated keeper any questions.

This is an amazing experience which makes a great present for any penguin enthusiasts.

Only £45.00 for 2 people
12.00 midday daily (pre-booking is essential)

All money raised will go towards the new Gems of the Jungle Aviary, which will help to raise awareness about the plight of Asian songbirds.

What your experience involves

Free full day admission to the zoo with an inclusive hot drink (vouchers provided on the day).
Meet a member of our zoo team at Reception and then head ‘behind the scenes’ to the penguin pool and enter their enclosure.
Spend time meeting and feeding our family of penguins.
Ask questions and find out about these exciting animals.
   
Participant guidelines

Participants must be over 10 years old.
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, as the second guest.

Duration

The experience lasts around 20 minutes but you are welcome to spend the full day in the zoo.

Dress code

Sensible footwear as sometimes the penguin enclosure can be slippy.
Old, comfortable clothes.
Waterproof clothing if the weather is wet, as the experience will still take place.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome to watch but they will not be able to accompany you into the penguin enclosure.
Spectators must pay relevant admission price.
