GROUP VISIT INFORMATION

Just voted ‘SILVER Visitor Attraction of the Year 2007-2008' at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, Newquay Zoo is situated on the ‘Coast of Dreams' North Cornwall in a thriving family resort surrounded by stunning Cornish beaches and scenery. The zoo covers ten acres and holds a collection of over 130 species (over 500 animals in total) from African Lions to Pygmy Marmosets (the smallest monkey in the world).

There are fascinating feeding time talks and animal encounters every day. You can watch the very popular otter family playing in the stream in the Oriental Garden, which is also home to some rare and endangered animals like Owston's Civets from Vietnam and stunning Hornbills from Asia.

The Tropical House is another stunning exhibit with an open jungle rainforest enclosure where you can spend time spotting a variety of exotic animals including sloths, toucans, monkeys and mouse deer.

Newquay Zoo is fun for all age groups with plenty of delights for children including the tarzan trail, a children's play area, the village farm and the dragon maze. There is plenty of seating and picnic areas plus the Café Lemur restaurant, Tippy's snack bar and a tasty summer barbecue by the lake.

Events are run throughout the year and group bookings are always welcome. The site is mainly level and is wheelchair friendly.

The zoo is also the first attraction in Cornwall to be accredited GOLD by the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

Group tours and buffets are available at an extra charge. Please phone to discuss your requirements.

If you would like to discuss more details and book please call Lorraine Reid on 0844 474 2244 or email lorraine.reid@newquayzoo.org.uk
