COURSES
Cornwall College Newquay offers a number of animal based courses and is ideally located next door to Newquay Zoo, you can even hear the lion roaring when it's feeding time! The College and Newquay Zoo formed a special partnership in 2000 which allows students to gain essential work experience and offers invaluable research opportunities for students on a wide range of courses.
The Animal Management National Diploma is a two year full-time course available for anyone over the age of 16. This course is ideal for those who would like to gain first-hand experience of observing animals in their natural habitats and caring for them in captivity.
Our two year full-time foundation degrees are available to anyone over the age of 18, with the relevant qualifications or experience. Courses include: Zoological Conservation, Wildlife Education and Media, Marine Aquaculture and Animal Science. From September 2008 they will be introducing BRAND NEW foundation degrees in Marine Conservation, and Applied Ecology and with a new two year BSc Applied Zoology part-time top up degree, also starting in September 2008, it is an exciting time to join Cornwall College Newquay.
