Start your New Years resolutions and help a great charity too!

Did you, like so many, make a New Years resolution this year? Finding it harder than you thought to stick to? Well why not make a new resolution – to help a worthwhile local charity.

Newquay Zoo is one of the largest not-for-profit charities in Cornwall – with all money made going directly back into the Zoo and its conservation projects, meaning the support of the local community and visitors is paramount to the Zoo’s success. The Zoo is desperate for volunteers to help with visitor interaction, events stewarding, promotion and fundraising. As well as the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping one of Cornwall’s most worthwhile charities, you will receive excellent training, a Zoo uniform and the knowledge that you haven’t broken yet another New Years resolution!

Lorraine Reid, Volunteer Co-ordinator said; ‘‘Volunteering is a brilliant way to make friends, have fun and spend time at a great tourist attraction helping a really worthwhile charity. Even though our volunteers do not work directly with the animals themselves, all of the activities contribute towards our conservation projects. Volunteering looks great on the CV too!’’

If you would like to take the next step towards volunteering at Newquay Zoo, please come and talk to our Volunteer Co-ordinator about how you would like to be involved, and what skills you have, so that you can get the most out of your volunteering experience at the Zoo.
