Goeldi’s monkeys are small creatures native to the upper Amazon Basin regions of Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador and Peru. They prefer to live in the lower parts of bamboo forests amongst the developed undergrowth.
Wild Diet Their diet includes fruit, insects and small animals.
These monkeys tend to live in smaller groups which usually consists of a breeding pair and their offspring. The mothers often carry their babies around on their backs for the first two weeks, after than they are carried around and cared for by the male and other members of the group.
Conservation Classed as Vulnerable due to habitat destruction, their numbers are declining in the wild.
