Shiver me timbers!! Join Captain Blue-tongue, his band of cut-throat pirates and his trusty parrot sidekick Feathers Macaw and help Newquay Zoo celebrate International Pirate Day!

Captain Blue-tongue said; ‘‘Ahoy there me hearties! Me and my crew of blaggards will be at Newquay Zoo on Saturday 22nd September celebrating Pirate Day. Take a tour of the Zoo with the Pirate Crew, practise your pirate speak, learn how to read a treasure map and hunt for lost gold. Will you swashbuckle your way around the Zoo or be forced to walk the plank….?’’

Under 15’s get in free when in pirate costume (please note – 7 day return is only available when paying admission price).

Lorraine Reid, Events Manager said; ‘‘We are thrilled that Captain Blue-tongue and the Zoo Crew will be helping visitors celebrate Pirate Day. It is always a brilliant, family fun day out, and a great way to tire out the kids!’’

As well as all the additional pirate events going on throughout the day, there are amazing exotic species that call Newquay Zoo their home – including African lions, Carpathian lynx, Sulawesi crested black macaques and scarlet macaws.
