Newquay Zoo has welcomed a new corporate supporter to the SOS (Save Our Species) Club!

Bideford based holiday accommodation agency holidaycottages.co.uk have joined the club as Lemur members with a fantastic donation to feed our brand new Brazilian Tapir, Al Capone, for a whole year – that’s a lot of veg!

Holidaycottages.co.uk Managing Director James Morris says, ‘We really appreciate the work Newquay Zoo does as a conservation charity - when we read about Al Capone in the local press, we just had to get involved and contacted the Zoo to offer some support’

Zoo Director Stewart Muir added, ‘We really value our corporate supporters as their generous donations allow us to offset daily running costs, and redirect funds into conservation and breeding programmes, which ultimately helps save endangered species, and deliver our message of support for global biodiversity to a wide audience of people of all ages’.

The Bideford based holiday company are an independent, family-run agency. Established in 1979 and have spent the last 35 years building a reputation for top quality holidays across the south west region, and beyond. As well as supporting conservation charities such as Newquay Zoo, they are also committed to minimising their environmental impact, and are accredited members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Newquay Zoo welcomes them to the club!
