The Easter holidays will soon be upon us, and staff at Newquay Zoo are delighted with a line up of special events which will keep the entire family entertained.

Newquay Zoo already has meerkats and monkeys, lemurs and lorikeets, and on Monday 2nd April it also has Mr Bloom!

Bring your little ones to meet their favourite television star at this amazing one off event. Learn about composting, recycling and growing your own vegetables, and meet a television hero! With songs, games and vegetable characters, this special one-off event is a great way to inspire interest in little ones about the natural world.

As well as this fantastic event, little ones will be amazed when Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire cat and the white rabbit descend on Newquay Zoo with the rest of their wonderland friends for the return of Easter Wonderland weekend.

Lorraine Reid; Events Manager said: ‘‘ We are thrilled to announce the line up for our Easter events this year. Children will love to meet and greet childrens’ television superstar Mr Bloom, and they will be thrilled with all the amazing events happening throughout Easter Wonderland Weekend from 6th – 9th April. With duck racing, tea parties, games and trails there is plenty going on at Newquay Zoo to ensure the whole family have a happy Easter.’’

As well as these brilliant events, you will be able to see all of the amazing species that call Newquay Zoo their home. See Emily the tapir, who recently arrived from Flamingo Land in Yorkshire to join our resident male tapir Rene. You can also feed fish to our friendly family of penguins, or mealworms to meerkats, and raise money for conservation too, as well as get your face painted by our friendly team of face painters – what will you be?!
