Newquay Zoo will have a new resident on Friday 2nd November – the Beast of Bodmin Moor!

Come and meet Tegen, the Beast and be enchanted by this magical story for children of ALL ages performed by Bish Bash Bosh Productions at the Zoo.

Lorraine Reid, Events Manager said; ‘‘The Beast of Bodmin Moor has been adapted from a popular children’s book of the same name, written by Alan M Kent, and is based on the mysterious legend surrounding the Beast. This magical puppet show will enrich the imagination and be a wonderful way to introduce children to the story. Come and meet the Beast!’’

BishBashBosh productions are a Cornish company dedicated to commissioning, developing and producing theatre, film and media which offers a response to Cornish issues in an entertaining, imaginative and informative way.

Dean Nolan, Artistic Director explains; ‘‘We find our inspiration in the Cornish landscape and community, and our aim is to develop a National Theatre for Cornwall, and also to work with students and teachers in the county through theatre workshops. We are really excited to be bringing The Beast of Bodmin Moor to Newquay Zoo.’’

The performances will take place at 11am and 2pm, and last approximately 30 minutes.
