Spring has arrived, and what better way to welcome it than with a fun, Cornish themed St Piran’s Day at Newquay Zoo?
On Tuesday 5th March the Zoo will be opening its gates to competitors in the annual Pasty Flinging Competition!
Lorraine Reid, Events Manager said; ‘‘Fancy yourself as the next Jessica Ennis? Join staff at the Zoo for the annual pasty throwing competition and put your throwing skills to the test! You can also take a trip on the Cornish Zoo trail and discover more about our beautiful county and the legend of St Piran. Serious competitors and those wanting a bit if fun are both welcome, and please note – no pasties are hurt at this event!’’
Winners of the competition will receive a lovely box of homemade pasties to take home with them.
Newquay Zoo has a year round events programme, providing family fun suitable for all ages. For more information on the range of events at Newquay Zoo, please click here.
