Embrace the outdoors this Autumn…

The Autumn season is a beautiful time to get outdoors with the family and admire the stunning 13-acre zoo and lush gardens within it. This is all while learning about the dozens of exotic animals, many of which are more active in the cooler months. Children can also run wild in the two outdoor play areas.

To fuel any zoo adventure, the Café Lemur and Lazy Lion Grill outlet at the zoo are serving takeaway food and drink – perfect for grabbing a spot of lunch, delicious cake or hot beverage.

Try and spot the zoo babies…

This year so far has seen a huge baby boom at the zoo! Throughout 2020, Newquay Zoo has welcomed a tapir calf, red panda cub, Owston’s civet kitten, pademelon joey, crowned lemur infant, black-necked swan cygnets and twin armadillos.

Many of these youngsters are now out and about and growing in confidence, bringing extra joy to a zoo visit.

Coronavirus safety information…

At the zoo we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable visit for all of our guests that visit the zoo. Our Covid-19 safety measures continue to remain in place, including social distancing signage, hand sanitiser points and the requirement of face coverings to be worn by guests in indoor areas (for  those who are able to).

We have also been accredited by the VisitEngland 'Good To Go' scheme, to recognise that we’re adhering to all the required public health and safety regulations and guidance. Please see our Updates webpage to find out full details about all the safety measures in place and which small number of indoor exhibits remain closed for your safety.
Like many other attractions and charities, we’re continuing to monitor the ever-changing situation and will absolutely provide any further updates if anything changes.

pre-booking online is essential...

We are limiting the number of guests at the zoo each day, so absolutely all guests, including Annual Pass holders, must pre-book their half-term visit online. Entry is permitted in half-hour time slots throughout the day.
We are anticipating the half-term holiday to be busy and therefore pre-booking is essential to secure your visit and avoid any disappointment. We cannot permit any walk-up visits from guests who have not pre-booked.

Due to the current guidelines, we are currently unable to permit any groups of guests with more than six people into the zoo - unless your single household family 'bubble' or educational group has more than six people in it.

All Under 3s and Carers must also be booked a space on a time slot. We also cannot transfer any ticket or time slot bookings once made.
