JUNIOR DETECTIVES WANTED! TV HEROES TRAIL BRINGS HALF TERM MYSTERY TO NEWQUAY ZOO
A new collaboration between Newquay Zoo and hit kids TV series The Creature Cases is set to transform young visitors into wildlife detectives this February half term as super sleuths Kit Casey and Sam Snow leap from screen to scene.
The Cornwall-based zoo has partnered with the producers of ‘The Creature Cases’ to design an interactive mystery trail that weaves through its extensive grounds, offering families an innovative way to explore wildlife conservation while solving puzzles and uncovering clues.
Kay Munday, Engagement Officer for Wild Planet Trust – the charity behind Paignton and Newquay Zoo, commented:
“We’re bringing together entertainment and education in a way that really resonates with children. The trail encourages young visitors to engage with our animals through problem-solving and discovery, skills that are central to both conservation work and The Creature Cases series.”
The initiative comes as part of the zoos ongoing efforts to engage younger generations with wildlife conservation. By incorporating popular television characters into the visitor experience, Newquay Zoo aims to create meaningful connections between its conservation work, and the lives and interests of younger visitors outside of the zoo.

Beyond the mystery trail itself, visitors can explore the zoo, learn about its conservation programmes, and make use of indoor facilities and play areas, making it a perfect family day out regardless of weather conditions.
The Creature Cases detective trail will run throughout February half term at Newquay Zoo and is included in the standard admission price. Successful junior detectives will take home an exclusive Creature Cases sticker as a token of their investigative achievements. There are also some mission kits available to download from the zoo’s website.
Visitors can book tickets in advance online. Each visit supports Wild Planet Trust’s vital conservation work both in the UK and overseas.
