Special Senior Discovery Days at Newquay Zoo
Newquay Zoo in Cornwall will be offering people aged 65 and over a special treat this autumn, with their Senior Discovery Days offer.
For just £19.99, eligible visitors will not only gain entry to Newquay Zoo for the day, but they will be treated to a special guided walk and a delicious Cornish cream tea.
This offer will be available every Wednesday between 20 September and 11 October, with talks taking place at 2pm.
The guided walk – titled ‘Tales from the Zoo’ – will lead people through the lush, sub-tropical gardens to see some of Newquay’s most popular animals. As well as discovering fascinating facts about the different species, people will also get to hear amazing stories from the past that highlight just how much the zoo has evolved over the years.
Visitors will then be able to round off the day with a delicious Cornish cream tea served at 3pm in Café Lemur. Here, they’ll be able to relax while looking out onto Lemur Island and the zoo’s family of rare black and white ruffed lemurs.
Steve Nash, Head of Campaigns and Programmes, said: “Whether you’ve been coming to the zoo since it opened in the 1960s, or are a new visitor, there is so much to discover here at Newquay. We are looking forward to guiding people through our fascinating history and showing them where we are heading too!”
Tickets, which include entry to the zoo, the guided talk and refreshments, costs £19.99 each or £4.99 for Newquay Zoo Members.
