A visit to our zoo offers a fantastic day of experiences that will bring your curriculum topic to life: your pupils can observe, hear, and sense living examples of the plants, animals and habitats that you will be talking about back at school.

Meet and greet
We will meet you on arrival and give a short welcome with zoo gossip, instructions and a challenge for your pupils. This is delivered outdoors and ensures your pupils get the best from their day!

Classroom Sessions
These 40 minute workshops take place in our new classroom in the Education Centre. Please note that workshops may not be available June – July. Workshops are suitable for up to 32 learners per session and are charged at an additional £33 per session
EYFS & KS1: Playful Penguins
A fun, active workshop that engages younger learners with lots of participation. Learn about the places that penguins call home, and find out how their amazing adaptations help them to stay alive. Why are penguins so heavy, and how do they keep their eggs warm?
KS2: Plastic Oceans
Investigate the problem of plastic pollution in our oceans and rivers and how it affects our animals.
Where does the plastic come from, what damage does it cause, and what can we do about it? Pupils will safely sort through material collected in a recent local beach clean, and hunt for nurdles in our fun challenge.
